Swirl White's rich, double finish - smooth and glossy on the inside, ribbed and matte on the outside - sets a striking and original tablescape. The soft rib on the outside of the collection offers a hand made look. Crafted of ironstone with a pin-firing technique which allows the entire bottom of the plate to be glazed, including the base. This process significantly reduces water absorption and increases chip resistance. 16 piece dinnerware set, service for four, includes (4) each: 11-1/4 inch dinner plate, 8-1/2 inch salad plate, 6-3/4 inch (24 ounce) cereal bowl and 18 ounce mug. Microwave and dishwasher safe.

Elegant

These dishes are simple in design and yet so beautiful. There is a really pretty sheen on them. They are even prettier in person. One bowl was broken upon arrival, but Mikasa was very apologetic and quick to send a replacement. I appreciated the good customer service. I’m planning to purchase a few more dishes and bowls, as well as some of the additional pieces.

Simple elegance

So happy with this set. We ordered 3 sets and countless additional pieces. The pattern is perfect. Would be great if they still carried the butter dish, cream and sugar set, etc.
